Wild Mandalas
A symbol of unity and wholeness, the mandala (or circle) has a long history in art and religion ranging from universal depictions in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition to the target paintings of Kenneth Noland and Jasper Johns. These wild mandala images are — in most cases) meditations on individual bird species present in Southwest Florida, as well as explorations of color, geometry, and iconography.
